Hansen, Clara (24 MAY 1910 - 24 AUG 1937)

Mrs. Alfred Hansen of Eau Claire passed away at the Luther Hospital at Eau Claire on Aug. 24, 1937, at 9 a.m., at the age of 27 years and 3 months, of blood poison.

Clara Harper was born May 24, 1910, in the town of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.) and moved with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Harper, to the town of Worden (Clark Co.) in 1911. There she attended school and grew to womanhood.

On Aug. 21, 1928, she was united in marriage to Alfred Hansen. To this union 3 children were born, Betty, Jerome and Gordon. After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Hansen resided on a farm in the town of Worden until 1931 when Mr. Hansen accept a position with the Gillette Rubber Co., Eau Claire, and the Hansens moved to that city.

She leaves to mourn, her husband and three children, her mother, Mrs. Julia Harper, 3 sisters, Mrs. Lewis Pagel, Mrs. Walter Bohn and Mrs. Edwin Ramberg, of Thorp; 2 brothers, William and Turon Harper of Eau Claire, Wis., several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

Her father, Henry Harper, one brother, Fred, and one sister, Martha, preceded her in death.

The funeral was held Thursday, Aug. 26th, at two p.m. at the Bogumill Funeral Home. Rev. R. Fleming of Loyal, and Rev. Carl Berry of Thorp, officiated, and burial was made in the Sylvan Cemetery in the town of Reseburg. The pallbearers were: Wm. Glasshof, Jr., Floyd Cook, Leo Hedler, Leland Hedler, Allen Hubbard and Clyde Misfeldt.
