Misener, Ida #2 (9 Nov. 1890 - 8 July 1941)

Died at her home in this village on Tuesday morning at 2:45, Mrs. Van R. Misener, aged 51 years. Mrs. Misener was born Ida Leipert, Nov. 9, 1890, at Glenwood City, Wis., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Leipert, formerly of Colby. On Jan. 5, 1908, she was united in marriage to Van R. Misener in this village and since that time has resided here except for a few years when they lived at Niles, Mich. To this marriage four children were born: Glen of Camp Livingston, Alexandria, La.; Warren of Chicago; Ray of Walworth and one daughter, Mrs. Forest Johnson of Unity. Last February she went to the Mayo Clinic at Rochester, Minn., for a thorough examination which showed the existence of a brain tumor and an operation followed. She seemed for a time to be gaining and two weeks ago she began to decline and shortly was in a critical condition and the members of her family were at once notified that the end was nearing. She passed away Tuesday morning at 2:45. She leaves to mourn her demise her beloved husband, three sons, and one daughter mentioned above; one brother, Herbert Liepert of Melfort, Sask., Can., and four sisters, Mrs. Anna Ewert, Decatur, Mich., Miss Minnie Liepert, Chicago; Mrs. Edmund Firnstahl, Niles, Mich., and Mrs. John Peterson of Neillsville; one half brother, Oscar Ewert of Spencer, and two half sisters, Mrs. T. A. Flink of Unity and Mrs. Erick Forrest of Marshfield, and three grandchildren.
