Votava, Irma(Aug 26, 1922 - Sept 2007)

WITHEE -- Irma Votava, 85, of Withee, died in her home in the town of Hixon, with her children gathered around her and under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice.

A celebration of her life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at the Abbotsford Evangelical Free Church. Inurnment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Withee.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Maurina/Community Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Irma was born Aug. 26, 1922, in the town of Longwood, Clark County, to Ethermore and Agnes (Poppe) Shores. Irma and James Votova were married in February of 1947 in Red Wing, Minn. He died April 25, 1980. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Irma is survived by her children, Ernest (Marty) Brooks, Washington, Robert (Terry) Brooks of Vancouver, Wash., Donald (Joan) Votava of Marshall, Minn., Harold (Karin) Votava of Honolulu, Hawaii, Richard (Judy) Votava of Suffolk, Va., Margaret (Leonard) Barth of Thorp, and Dorothy (Thomas) Birr of Withee; 24 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Margaret (Jim) Turner of Indiana.
