Degenhardt, Martin #2 (9 July 1870 - 29 Aug. 1936)

Loyal - Martin Degenhardt, 66, a director of the Citizen’s State bank of Loyal and treasurer of the Pelsdorf cheese factory, died at his home south of the village Saturday afternoon.

Born in Monroe county on July 9, 1870, Mr. Degenhardt came to this community in 1883 and was married here on July 4, 1889.

Funeral services will be conducted at St. Anthony’s Catholic church at 9 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. A. J. Aurit officiating.

Surviving relatives include his wife and six children: Henry, Colby, Leo, Frank, and Alfred, Loyal; Mrs. William Michalski and Mrs. Julia Michalski, Marshfield.

There are also 26 grandchildren and 10 brothers and sisters. Mrs. Fred Stutte, Loyal, a sister, is the only other close relative living in this vicinity.
