Wirth, Henry (22 Apr. 1893 - 18 Sept. 1936)

 

Henry Wirth, unmarried World War veteran of the town of Holton, died last Friday at the Owen hospital where an operation was performed in an effort to prolong his life. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Lulloff funeral parlors in Colby and at the Presbyterian church at Abbotsford, Rev. L. C. Smith officiating. Burial was made in the Abbotsford cemetery. Pall bearers were Lester Mittelstaedt, Wayne Wyman, Claude Mayfield, Henry Ziebarth, Jack Weideman and Dell Olson. Military honors were in charge of the Abbotsford post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars with Leo Apfelbeck acting as commander and Chesley Cramer as chaplain. Color bearers and guards were Ervin Bittner, Lloyd Smith, Maurice Thompson and Harvey Bittner. Members of the Abbotsford national guard acted as a firing squad with Harry Ketcham in command.

 

The deceased was born in Sheboygan county April 22nd, 1893, thus reaching the age of forty-three years, four months and twenty-seven days. He moved onto his farm in the town of Holton in 1929 and had been ill only three days. He is survived by the following brothers - William F. Wirth of Wausau, Albert Wirth of Sheboygan and Helmuth Wirth of Abbotsford; the following half brothers - Anthony Gartmann of Sheboygan and Reinhold Gartmann of Kohler; and the following half sisters - Mrs. Marie Koepse of Kohler and Mrs. Anna Peasch of Sheboygan.

Henry Wirth, 43, town of Holton (Marathon Co., Wis.) farmer, died Friday at the Owen hospital where an operation was performed in an effort to prolong his life. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Anna Paasch, town of Wilson, Eau Claire Co., and Mrs. Mary Wiets, ?hler, and four brothers, William, With, town of Maine, Albert Wirth, Sheboygan, Anton Wirth, Eau Claire Co., and Reinhold Wirth, Sheboygan Falls.

Hello, is it possible, that Henry Wirth and his sisters and brothers were origin from Germany and may have any family left in Germany? Perhaps there is also someone of this family going to Chicago?
