Kobs, Dorothy M. (Marriage - 19 Sept. 1936)

A very pretty wedding was solemnized at the Dorchester Lutheran parsonage Saturday, September 19th, Rev. J. Brandt reading the marriage ceremony, when Miss Dorothy M. Kobs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aug. F. Kobs, became the bride of Mr. LeRoy E. Thede. Miss Adeline Thede, cousin of the groom, acted as bridesmaid and the groom was attended by Mr. Raymond Kobs, cousin of the bride.

The bride was attired in a beautiful gown of blue transparent velvet and her shoulder bouquet consisted of yellow roses and white solonies. The bridesmaid wore a dress of wine transparent velvet and her shoulder bouquet was the same as the bride’s.

A wedding reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, the home being nicely decorated in white, blue and orange and cut flowers for the occasion. In the evening, a wedding dance was given at the Abbotsford armory. The newlyweds will make their home with the groom’s parents.

Out of town people here for the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Christ Winkel and daughter, Lenore, Walter Winkel and girl friend and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Pagel and daughter, Marlene, all of Medford, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Valefske and Mr. and Mrs. Adonis Valefske of Collins, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Herman Winkel, son Lyle, and daughter, Marion, of Chilton, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Winkel of Neillsville and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jackson of Stevens Point, Wis.

The bridesmaid and the groom were attended by Mr. Raymond Kobs, cousin of the bride.
