Eggebrecht, William H. (18 Jan. 1857 - 22 May 1938)

Funeral services for William H. Eggebrecht, 81, who died at his home at Marshfield Sunday afternoon at 3:45 o’clock after three weeks’ illness, were held Wednesday afternoon, at 2 o’clock at the Seehafer-Hansen funeral home and at St. Paul’s Ev. Reformed church in Marshfield. The Rev. T. E. Blaufuss, of the town of Cleveland, Marathon county, officiated and internment was made in the Hillside cemetery at Marshfield.

The deceased was born in Germany January 18, 1857, and accompanied his parents to Detroit, Mich., at the age of five years. After 23 years’ residence there, he located on a farm near Colby and while there taught in Clark and Marathon county schools. Fifty years ago he located at Marshfield, where he was a bookkeeper and log scaler. He married Miss Anna Michler, town of Frankfort, December 31, 1885. Surviving are the widow, three children, William M. Eggebrecht and Mrs. Ella Knox, Marshfield, and Mrs. R. E. Corwin, Haverhill, Mass.; two brothers, Harry Eggebrecht, who lives near Colby, and Charles Eggebrecht, Laona; three sisters, Mrs. Louise McHugh, Oshkosh, Mrs. Joseph Bondie, Wyandotte, Mich., and Mrs. Minna Meier, Neenah, and five grandchildren.
