Scidmore, Theresa (Fritsch) Rahn (03 Dec 1920 - 23 Aug 2007)

Theresa Scidmore, 86, Curtiss, died Sunday, September 23rd, 2007, at her home with her family and Ministry Home Care Hospice.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time at the church. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 27th, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen, Wis. Interment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Curtiss with Father Donald Berg presiding.

Theresa was born December 3rd, 1920, in Brillion to George and Rose (Neihaus) Fritsch.

She attended St. Louis Catholic School and Dorchester High School. Theresa grew up in the Dorchester area and then moved to Milwaukee. She returned to rural Curtiss in 1966 where she and her husband owned and operated Scidmore’s Steak House. She retired in 1983.

Theresa and Clayton Rahn were married December 2nd, 1939. Clayton died June 19th, 1946. She then married Robert Scidmore on June 2nd, 1950. Robert died July 9th, 1982.

She was a member of Holy Rosary Parish in Owen, PCCW, and St. Rose Circle and was also a member of the Curtiss Community Club.

Mrs. Scidmore is survived by her children, Barbara (Gerald) Wachsmuth, Owen, Sandra (Nicholas) Wirtala, Curtiss and Joseph (Jody) Scidmore, Spencer; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two husbands and her brothers and sisters, Leo, Art, Ervin, Pete, Sally, Rose, Margaret, George, Helen, Evelyn and Dorothy.

Maurina-Community Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
