Harrer, William John (9 Jan. 1908 - 28 Aug. 2003)

William John Harrer of Yellville, Arkansas died Thursday, August 28, 2003 at Marion County Nursing Home in Yellville, AR. He was 95. Mr. Harrer was born on January 9, 1908 in Colby, Wisconsin to Paul and Alvina Boetcher Harrer. He married his wife on December 6, 1930. Mr. Harrer was a retired Production Supervisor from Downey Box Company of Milwaukee, Wis., where he worked for 35 years. He was a resident of Marion County since 1996 moving from Milwaukee, Wis. He was a Lutheran by faith. Survivors include his wife, of Yellville, AR; and a daughter of Yellville, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Alvina; two brothers, Charles and Wesley; and a sister, Lillian Fisk. No funeral services or visitation was scheduled and burial was private. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 919 Michigan Ave., Suite 1100, Chicago, IL 60611 and Marion County Nursing Home, 620 N. Panther Ave., Yellville, AR 72687. A special thanks to Marion County Nursing Home Nurses and staff for their special care and attention. Arrangements were under the direction of Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, AR.
