Henkel, ? J. (Marriage - 19 May 1939)

Miss ? J. Henkel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gust Henkel of Colby, Wisconsin, became the bride of Russel J.Arts of Ladysmith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Arts, at a ceremony performed at St. Mary’s Catholic church at Ladysmith on Friday, May 19, at 9:00 A.M., Father Riesenmy performing the ceremony. Irene Perkins acted as maid of honor and the groom was attended by Harold Ohlis.

The bride was attired in a becoming two-tone gray dress with navy blue and wine accessories and her shoulder corsage consisted of pink and lavender sweet peas. Miss Perkins wore a dusty pink dress with navy blue accessories and her shoulder corsage consisted of pink and blue sweet peas.

A wedding breakfast was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Arts for immediate relatives after which the young couple left on a wedding trip to Pelican Lake. They will be at home after May 22 at Ladysmith where the groom is parts man at the Chevrolet garage.
