Mikula, Josephine (12 NOV 1938)

Leonard Mizerka, son of John and Stella Mizerka, formerly of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), was united in marriage with Miss Josephine Mikula of Chicago, on Saturday, Nov. 12, 1938, at St. Bruno’s Church. Father Alex Gorski and his two assistants officiated at the marriage. Mary Data, radio singer, sang Ave Maria.

The bride was attired in a beautiful white satin gown with a long train and veil trimmed with lilies of the valley. Her heart shaped bouquet consisted of white roses and lilies of the valley. The maid of honor and two bridesmaids wore white moiré gowns trimmed with dubonnet. They carried huge bouquets of chrysanthemums, color to match. The bride’s little sister, dressed in a white moiré gown and the groom’s little cousin, dressed in a tuxedo, acted as ring bearers.

The groom and his ushers wore tuxedoes.

A very large and elaborate weeding reception took place at Chromik’s Hall on Crawford Avenue.

The out of town guests were, Mrs. John Barksi, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kolaczkowski, Mrs. Charles Kolaczkowski and son, Walter, of Thorp; Mrs. Helen Mazur, daughters, Helen and Emily, and son, Daniel, and Emily Kolaczkowski of Buffalo, New York; Mr. and Mrs. Gazmek of Benton Harbor, Michigan; Mr. and Mrs. Leo Kolaczkowski and Mr. and Mrs. A.
