Brenner, Rodney (12 NOV 1921 - 3 JAN 1939)

Rodney Brenner, 17, born November 12, 1921, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Brenner, town of Ruby, former residents of Eidsvold, (Clark County), Wis., was fatally injured Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 3, 1939, when he was feeding the farm pigs. He evidently slipped and fell on frozen ground, as his neck was broken and he had suffered a fractured skull. He was found in the pig pen by his younger brothers on their return from school.

He is survived by his parents, one sister, two brothers, and a grandfather and a grandmother, a large number of relatives and a host of friends.

Services were conducted by Rev. Midtlien of Stanley, at 1:30 at Plombon’s Funeral Parlors and at 2 o’clock at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church at Stanley.

During the services Anton Long sang several solos.

Pallbearers were: Arthur Joas, Benny Joas, Harold Knapp, Gerald Knapp, Albert Wagner and Lowell Hartzel.

Interment was made in the Synod cemetery.
