Weidman, Mary J. (10 Dec. 1892 - 28 July 1975)

Rites for Mrs. Frederick J. (Mary J.) Weidman, Sr., 82 , of 606 S. Walnut Ave., will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Mrs. Weidman died at 10 a.m. Monday at the Marshfield Convalescent Center, where she had been residing since July 25.

Officiating will be the Rev. Msgr. A. N. Schuh, of St. John's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Visitation may be made at the Rembs-Kundinger Chapel after 2 p.m. Wednesday and until service time on Thursday. There will be a combined St. John's Rosary-Altar Society and Missionary Society service at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, followed by a St. John's parish vigil service at 8 p.m.

The former Mary J. Mueller was born Dec. 10, 1892, in Colby, where she received her education. She lived in Colby as a child and was later employed in Marshfield and Wausau until her marriage to Frederick J. Weidman on April 18, 1917, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Colby. He survives. The couple celebrated its golden wedding anniversary in 1967.

Following their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Weidman lived in Loyal, Spencer, Riverside, Edgar and Marshfield. They were engaged in farming until retiring in 1964.

Mrs. Weidman was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and St. John's Rosary-Altar Society and Missionary Society.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Matt F. (Josephine) Wolf, Chili, Mrs. Julia Noble, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Agnes Frey, Phoenix, Ariz.; a son, Frederick A. Weidman Jr., Stratford; a sister, Mrs. Martha Steinwagner, Marshfield; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Two sisters and a grandson preceded her in death.
