Bauer, Helen (Marriage - 12 July 1939)

Miss Helen Bauer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Bauer of Riplinger, Wis., and Sylvester O’Brien, son of Pat O’Brien, were married at St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby, Wisconsin, Wednesday, July 12th, at 8:30 A.M., Rev. L. J. Lang performing the marriage ceremony. Miss Mae Bauer acted as bridesmaid and Mrs. Lydia Wetzel was maid of honor. The groom was attended by Leon Copet and Walter Wetzel.

The bride was attired in a becoming gown of white satin and her bouquet consisted of roses and sweet peas. The bridesmaid wore a dress of pink lace and wore a shoulder corsage. The maid of honor wore a dress of blue taffeta and also a shoulder corsage.

A reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Bauer, the home being nicely decorated in pink, white and blue for the occasion. A wedding dance was given at Ted Dallman’s hall in Riplinger.

The couple will make their home in the town of Colby where the groom is engaged in farming.
