Martin, Herbert A. (1921? - 19 May 2004)

Herbert A. Martin, 83, M216 County Road E, Marshfield, died Wednesday, May 19, 2004, at the Colonial Center, Colby.

Herb farmed in the Granton area and later in the towns of Day and McMillan, while he operated a milk route. After retiring, Herb was a rural newspaper delivery man for the Marshfield News-Herald. He retired in October 2003 after 17 years of service.

Survivors include his children, Gerald Martin, Richard (Helen) Martin, Beatrice Martin and Mary Cutts, all of Marshfield, Peter (Patti) Martin, Pittsville, John (Rachel) Martin, Merrill, Carol (James) Bauer, Arpin, Sharon (James) Nagel, Auburndale, Robert (Alisa) Martin, Worland, Wyo., Beverly (John) Kirschbaum, Stratford, Nancy (Tim) Baumhardt, Milwaukee, and Allan (Laura) Martin, Las Vegas; two stepchildren, Barb and Paul Hammock; two daughters-in-law, Joyce Martin, Blenker, and Margaret Anderson, Yates, Texas; 27 grandchildren, 11 stepgrandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; one brother Leo (Mickey) Martin, West Allis; and one sister, Sister Marie Alice Martin, La Crosse.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield. Burial will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Rozellville. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Rembs/Kundinger Funeral Home, Marshfield, and again Monday from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church. There will be a combined parish and Knights of Columbus rosary service at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
