Mrs. Frieda Miller, a former resident of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away at 11:15 o’clock Saturday night at her home in Chippewa Falls, following a long illness.

Mrs. Miller was born Frieda Burkhardt April 29, 1888, in Thorp, Clark Co., and went to Chippewa Falls in 1903, where she has since resided, with the exception of a few years. After Mr. Miller’s death on Sept. 14, 1921, she continued to operate the Miller Cigar Factory until 1929 when she engaged in the resort business in northern Wisconsin. Five years ago Mrs. Miller returned to Chippewa Falls and has lived there since.

Mrs. Miller is survived by one daughter, Elaine of Chippewa Fall, two brothers, Alfred Burkhardt of Thorp, and Edward Burkhardt, three half-sisters, Mrs. Nina Orth, Minneapolis; Mrs. Ida Molle, Unity, Wis., Mrs. O.A. Peterson, Granton, Wis., and one half-brother, Arthur Neuman of Riplinger, Wis.

Services took place at nine o’clock Tuesday morning at Notre Dame Church, Chippewa Falls, with interment in Calvary Cemetery.
