Johnson, Henry (2 Feb. 1863 - 12 Jan. 1940)

Henry Johnson of Unity died Friday morning at the age of 76 years at his home in Unity, cancer being the cause of his death. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Trinity Lutheran church in Unity, Rev. J. A. Olson officiating, and burial was made in the Lutheran cemetery.

The deceased was born in Finland, Feb. 2, 1863, and was married in Minneapolis on Dec. 10, 1888, to Miss Anna Matson. In 1890, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson moved to a farm just west of the village and made their home there until 1920 when they moved to the village. They observed their golden wedding anniversary on August 12, 1939.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Anna Johnson, and three daughters and one son - Mrs. A. W. Justman and Mrs. Roy Justman, both of Unity, Mrs. Ed. Domer of Oshkosh and Carl Johnson of Abbotsford, Wis. Also 32 grand children, three great grand children and three sisters - Mrs. Maggie Matson of Unity, Mrs. Minnie Anderson of St. Louis, Minn., and Mrs. Anna Carlson of Fergus Falls, Minn. One daughter, Mrs. Arthur Edblom died on Dec. 15, 1938.

My brother-in-law is Len Johnson, his father Carl was born in Finland 1 April 1894. Carl lived & died in Abbotsford Victoria Australia. Is this the same as your Carl Johnson of Abbotsford??????? Gordon
