Frome, Mercedes H. (Marriage - 29 May 1940)

Miss Mercedes H. Frome, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Frome, and Mr. James Archambo, son of Mr. and Mrs. X. Archambo, were united in marriage on May 29, 1940, at 4:00 o’clock at Zion Ev. Lutheran parsonage, Rev. O. Hoffmann reading the marriage ceremony. Marion L. Frome was maid of honor and the groom was attended by Theodore Archambo.

The bride was attired in a dress of blue crepe du chein and her corsage bouquet consisted of pink roses. The maid of honor wore a dress of dusty pink crepe and her corsage consisted of white roses.

A wedding reception was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Frome, the home being nicely decorated in pink and blue for the occasion.

The couple will make their home in Chippewa Falls where the groom is employed by the Thomson Oil Company.

In the evening, a wedding dance was given at Wiedenhoeft’s pavilion.

The bride is a graduate of the Colby, Wis. High School and also of the State Teachers’ College at Oshkosh. She taught school for several years in the town of Hoard.

Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Fred Pudlas and daughter of Curtiss, Carl Holmes of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. X. Archambo, Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Archambo, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Laack, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Gosse and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Aug. Schueller and Stanley Thompson, all of Abbotsford, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Louis Frome, Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Frome and children, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Frome and children, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Borchert and Mr. and Mrs. William Tesmer of Colby, Wis.
