Patitz, George F. (29 Jan. 1879 - 25 Oct. 1940)

George F. Patitz died Friday, Oct. 25th, at 8:50 A.M., at his home in the town of Mayville, Clark county, after a lingering illness of several years. Funeral services were held at the Evangelical and Reformed church in Colby, Rev. S. A. Schmeichen officiating on Monday, Oct. 28, and burial was made in the Colby cemetery. Pall bearers were William Patitz, Royal Archambo, Victor Archambo, James Archambo, Willmer Seifert and John Seifert. Those in charge of the flowers were Norbert and Norman Martens, Winifred Martens, Mrs. Alfred Thomson and Mrs. Arnold Laack.

The deceased was born in Manitowoc county on January 29, 1879, thus reaching the age of 61 years, eight months and 25 days. He came to Clark county with his parents when two years old and was married to Ida Hingiss in the town of Mayville on Sept. 18, 1906, to which union four children were born.

Surviving are his wife, two children, Mrs. E. R. Martens of Colby, Wis., and Elroy Patitz of Abbotsford, Wis., four sisters, Mrs. Julius Seifert of Appleton, Mrs. Harvey Culbertson of Appleton, Mrs. Xavier Archambo of Abbotsford, Wis., Mrs. Fred Pudlas of Curtiss, his step mother, Mrs. Amelia Patitz of Dorchester, Wis., three half brothers and three half sisters. Also three grand children, Norbert Martens, Norman Martens and Winifred Martens.

The deceased was a good Christian, a kind and indulgent husband and father and honest in all his dealings. He was a good neighbor and was liked by all who knew him.

Palmbach, Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Seifert, John Seifert, all of Appleton, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. William Feidler and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hingiss of Cleveland, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Edward Patitz and family of Anatogana, Mich., Mr. and Mrs. Herman Patitz and family and Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Patitz of Glidden, Mr. and Mrs. William Ludwig, Mrs. Richard Lloyd and Mr. and Mrs. James Archambo of Chippewa Falls, Mr. and Mrs. William Hingiss of Owen, Mrs. Alfred Scheel of Stanley, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Pudlas and daughter, Grace, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Thomson and Mrs. Amelia Nitche of Curtiss, Mr. and Mrs. Filfred Marcot, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Jensen and Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Marcot of Dorchester, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Xavier Archambo, Victor Archambo, Theo. Archambo, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Laack and Mr. and Mrs. Royal Archambo of Abbotsford, Wis.
