McCray, Ivalyn (11 APR 1939)

A beautiful wedding service was solemnized in a setting of Easter atmosphere when Miss Ivalyn McCray, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ira McCray of this city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.), and Reino Kivikko, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kivikko of the town of Green Grove (Clark Co.), were united in holy matrimony at 11 o’clock Tuesday forenoon at St. Katherine’s Church with Father R.E. Ortmayer officiating at the service.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was beautifully attired in a floor length white satin princess gown with a white tulle veil. She carried a white prayer book from which the service was read. Miss McCray was accompanied by her maid of honor, Miss Bernice Stenseth, who was gowned in a dress of aqua chiffon of floor length. She carried a bouquet of pink carnations and snapdragons.

The groom was dressed in a business suit of dark green and wore a white carnation boutonniere. He was attended by Blaine McCray, brother of the bride, who wore an oxford grey suit and wore a boutonniere.

At noon a luncheon was served for 21 immediate friends and relatives of the newlyweds in the dining hall of the community hall.

The young couple, who are both prominently known in this community, left late in the afternoon fro DeKalb, Ill., where they will make their future home. Mr. Kivikko is employed with a large manufacturing concern in that city. The newlyweds are wished a happy wedded life by their many friends in Owen and hope they find their new home a pleasant one.
