Hohndorf, Herman (24 Sept. 1870 - 6 June 1941)

Herman Hohndorf died at his farm home in the town of Frankfort Friday, June 6th, heart trouble and complications of several years duration being the cause of his death. Funeral services were held in the Town Wein Lutheran church Monday, June 9th, Rev. Malueg officiating, and internment was made in the parish cemetery. Grand daughters had charge of the flowers and were Elaine Heise, Grace Laumer and Dawn Hoeft.

The deceased was born in Germany on Sept. 24th, 1870, thus reaching the age of 70 years, eight months and 18 days. He was married to Bertha Yelke in the town of Frankfort in October 1899.

Surviving are his wife and the following children: Mrs. Eugene Rahn of Milwaukee, Mrs. Lawrence Hoeft of Hamburg, Wis., Mrs. Lawrence Heise of Marathon, Mrs. Fred Laumer of Edgar, Meta Hohndorf of Milwaukee, Mrs. N. Hughes of Indianapolis and Herman and Bertha at home. Four children preceded their father in death. Also surviving are eight grand children and two sisters - Mrs. Jacob Schowalter of Richfield, Wis., and Mrs. Minnie Christiansen of Edgar, Wis.
