Hanson, Lorraine Ruth (Marriage - 20 Nov. 1941)

In a double-ring ceremony performed by the Rev. John Brandt in Christ Evangelical Lutheran church at Abbotsford Thanksgiving afternoon, Miss Lorraine Ruth Hanson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Hanson, and Earl H. Boss, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Boss, all of Abbotsford, Wis., were united in marriage.

Ernest Boss, twin brother of the bridegroom. Herbert Meyers, Curtiss, Miss Dorothy Broeske, Marshfield, a cousin of the bride, and Miss Lenore Boss, a sister of the bridegroom, attended the couple.

The bride wore a gown of white satin, with a jacket of lace, and a finger-tip veil of tulle and lace caught to a cap of seed pearls. She carried a shower bouquet of pompoms and was presented in marriage by her father.

The bridesmaids, in gowns of pink and blue satin and lace, wore the shoulder-length veils attached to the flower tiaras and shoulder sprays of white pompoms. For jewelry, they wore double-strand pearl necklaces, gifts of the bride.

Mrs. Hanson attended the ceremony in a green sheer wool ensemble and Mrs. Boss wore a navy blue crepe dress, with matching accessories. Their flowers were shoulder bouquets of baby chrysanthemums and ferns.

A wedding march by Wagner was used for the processional and during the ceremony Miss Leota Brandt, of Menomonie, sang "O Perfect Love."

The ceremony was followed by a reception for 50 guests held at the Hanson home, which was decorated for the occasion with streamers of pink, blue and white. A wedding cake and tall tapers adorned the bridal table. Out-of-town guests included Dorothy and Donald Broeske, Marshfield; Clarence Hoeft, Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schmelzer, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Vilas Verhulst, Owen; Miss Leota Brandt, Menomonie; Miss Virginia Johnson, Chetek; and Mr. and Mrs. E.
