Brown, Dorothy #2 (29 JUN 1940)

Miss Dorothy Brown, granddaughter of Mrs. Martha Brown of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) and Carl Rask, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Rask Sr. of Rochester, Minn., exchanged the sacred vows in the Little Brown Church at Nashua, Ia., in a quiet ceremony performed by Rev. F.L. Hanskone, on Saturday, June 29, 1940.

The bride is a graduate of the Withee High School with the class of 1938. She wore a gown of mist blue with matching accessories. Her bridesmaid, Miss Inez Martin of Withee, wore a gown of pale pink with blue accessories. They each wore a corsage of tea roses and sweet peas.

The groom was attended by Roy Roheim of Rochester.

After the service the bridal party motored to Rochester, where a dinner was served to guests of the couple at the home of the groom’s parents. Later on they drove to Minneapolis, where they visited with friends and then continued on to Withee for a visit.

Monday evening at the home of the bride’s grandmother, Mrs. Brown, she was tendered a shower by a group of her former classmates and friends. The young couple will continue their visit in Withee until Thursday afternoon when they will leave for Rochester where they will make their future home.

The groom is affiliated with his father in his business of wholesaling automobile accessories and parts.

The Enterprise and the couple’s host of friends are sincere in wishing them a pleasant married life.
