Preller, Edna Marie (Marriage - 24 Jan. 1942)

Announcement has been made of the marriage of Miss Edna Marie Preller to Franklin Howard Bauer of Milwaukee by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Preller of Abbotsford, Wis.

The ceremony took place January 24th in a nuptial mass celebrated in St. Elizabeth’s church in Milwaukee. Miss Margaret Beaver, a cousin of the bridegroom, attended as maid of honor, and John B. Bauer, also a cousin of the bridegroom, was best man. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Preller, brother and sister in law of the bride, were other members of the bridal party.

For the ceremony, the bride chose a dirndl model of white chiffon cut with a square neckline edged with silver scrolling and trimmed at the waistline with silver insertions. With it she wore a fingertip veil falling from a seed pearl tiara and carried a colonial bouquet of pink tea roses and babies breath.

Miss Beaver was attired in white silk jersey. Both wore pearl necklaces, gifts of the bride, and carried matching silk jersey muffs.

Only immediate relatives and a few friends were present at the wedding and the dinner which followed at the Schwabenhof café. In the evening, the event was celebrated with a dance at the Eagles ballroom.

The bride attended school in Greenwood and was employed until her marriage by the Abbotsford Finance corporation. Mr. Bauer attended school in Loyal, and is now employed at the Kearney-Tucker company defense plant in Milwaukee. Due to Mr. Bauer being engaged in defense work, they postponed their wedding trip for the present. They are now at home at 3070 N. Thirteenth street, Milwaukee.
