Capes, Betty (Marriage - 9 Feb. 1946)

Miss Betty Capes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Capes of Unity, and Gordon DuVall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank DuVall of Marshfield, were united in marriage Saturday evening in the Unity Methodist church, Rev. M. B. Ferguson reading the marriage ceremony.

The bride’s entrained gown of white satin was styled with long pointed sleeves, sweetheart neckline and full, swirling skirt. A seed pearl headdress held her finger-tip veil and she carried a bouquet of spring flowers frilled with white maline.

Mrs. Donald Powers of Owen, who was the bride’s only attendant, wore a gown of pink net over taffeta and carried a bouquet of blue iris and white carnations. Arlyn Ewert of Unity, served as best man.

A reception for forty guests followed in the church parlors.
