Fred Thieme is ill at his home in Colby, Wis.

G. T. Vorland spent Wednesday in Madison on business.

Rose Firnstahl of Loyal spent the week-end with her aunt, Mrs. Lena Eder.

Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Zillmann and children of Eau Claire spent the past week-end in Colby, Wis.

Miss Margaret Frane of Milwaukee is visiting at the home of her mother, Mrs. L. W. Frane.

Miss Edna Grambort of Chicago spent the past week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Grambort.

Mrs. Edward Bartik of Plainfield is visiting her brother in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. A. X. Umhoefer.

Mr. and Mrs. Gaylord Pipkorn of Milwaukee spent the week-end with the latter’s mother, Mrs. Hermina Herrmann.

Mr. and Mrs. I. M. Firnstahl were at Stanley Tuesday where they attended funeral services for Freemont Tonn.

Sgt. Claude Sossaman left Wednesday for Camp McCoy where he will be continued to the hospital for an indefinite time.

Eugene Herrmann returned to Milwaukee after spending the past three weeks with his mother, Mrs. Hermina Herrmann.

Mrs. L. Hanson returned to Fairbault, Minn., after a week’s visit with her sister, Mabel Neumeister, and Mr. and Mrs. D. Imhoff.

Mrs. Herman Feldbrugge of Milwaukee is visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Olson. Mrs. Feldbrugge is the former Grace Olson.

Jerry Firnstahl, attending the St. John’s University at Collegeville, Minn., spent the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. I. M. Firnstahl.

Mr. and Mrs. Gaylord Pipkorn, Mrs. Hermina Herrmann and Eugene Herrmann spent Thursday at Westboro visiting with Mrs. Ben Pipkorn.

Mrs. Theresa Bentz, formerly of Colby, and her sister, Mrs. Alvina Tessmer and her daughter, Dorothy, of Sheboygan visited from Saturday until Monday with relatives here.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wiersig and daughter, Evelyn, autoed to Watertown Tuesday where they attended the wedding of their son and brother, Ray Wiersig, to Miss Mary Wertheimer. Mrs. W. K. Staffeil and Mrs. Louise Schultz accompanied them.

Mr. and Mrs. August Tessmer motored up from Spencer Sunday and visited the former’s uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Tessmer. In the afternoon, the visitors went to Medford and visited Mrs. John Leonhard, August Tessmer’s sister and C. P. Tessmer’s niece, who is very ill.

Mr. and Mrs. John Kiefer left on Sunday for Florida, via Milwaukee, where their son Gilbert, and his family joined them with his house trailer also. They will spend the winter in Florida. The former’s son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Kiefer, now reside on the farm.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Olson and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Baumgart returned Monday from a trip through the western states. They visited with the Olson’s daughter, grand daughter and great grand daughter in Torrance, California, and Mr. Baumgart’s sister and family in Los Angeles. They were gone about a month.
