Wolk, Lorraine (Marriage - 4 June 1947)

Miss Lorraine Wolk, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Wolk, and Aloys Beyerl, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Beyerl, exchanged marriage vows at St. Mary’s parsonage Wednesday afternoon, June 4, at 2 o’clock.

The bride was attended by Mrs. Aloysius, the groom’s sister, as matron of honor, and Miss Mae Fricke, the bride’s cousin, as bridesmaid. The bride was attired in a green wool suit, white hat, gloves and a corsage. For jewelry she wore her mother’s lavaliere and a small gold brooch which belonged to her great grandmother 70 years ago. The matron of honor wore a brown suit with white accessories, and a corsage. The bridesmaids wore a black and white pincheck suit with white accessories and a corsage.

The groom was attended by his brother, Robert Beyerl, and the bride’s brother, Robert Wolk.

A reception was given at the home of the bride’s parents, the home being nicely decorated with white streamers and spring flowers for the occasion.

The couple left on a week’s wedding trip to Milwaukee and Chicago after which they will be at home on the farm of the groom’s parents west of Colby, where the groom is engaged in farming.

The bride graduated from Colby High School with the class of 1944 and had been employed the past two years in the office of the Northwest Distributing Company.
