Marten, Lorraine (Marriage - 4 Sept. 1947)

Lorraine Marten, daughter of Mrs. Arthur Steele, and Raymond Kobs, son of Mrs. Gusta Kobs, exchanged marriage vows Thursday, Sept. 4th, 1947, at 3:00 o’clock P.M., at Green Grove, Rev. M. C. Goetsch reading the marriage ceremony. The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Bunkelman, the bride’s brother in law and sister.

The bride was attired in an aqua colored suit with brown and white accessories. Her corsage consisted of pink tea roses and mixed button flowers. Mrs. Bunkelman wore a grey suit with pink accessories and her corsage consisted of tea roses.

A five o’clock supper was served to about 36 guests in the Abbotsford Lutheran church basement. Out of town guests included Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Marten and Dewaine Marten of Riplinger, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bruenwitz, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Huber of Spencer, Mr. and Mrs. John Schmidt of Fox Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Rueben Kobs of Janesville, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Kind and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Zimmerman of Waukesha, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Bunkelman of Chippewa Falls, Billy Marten, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Krueger and Mrs. Gusta Kobs of Curtiss, Mrs. Arthur Steele of Abbotsford, Rev. and Mrs. M. C. Goetsch.

The couple will make their home on the groom’s farm at Curtiss.
