Klocke, Henrietta #2 (18 FEB 1897 - 7 MAR 1941)

Funeral services for Mrs. Reinhard Klocke, age 44, were conducted on Tuesday afternoon, March 11, 1941, from the Kraut Funeral Home at Dorchester and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.). The Rev. M.C. Goetsch officiated and burial was made on the family lot at Pine Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Klocke, nee Henrietta Lipka, was born in Pittsville, Feb. 18, 1897, and was married to Reinhard Klock Sept. 22, 1915, since her married she lived on their farm 2 ½ miles north of Curtiss in the Town of Hoard.

She suffered a stroke six years ago and has been in poor health since. She suffered a second stroke Wednesday night and entered the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital on Thursday and passed away early Friday morning.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Larry (Louise) Nelson at home, Mrs. Art (Lorraine) Peissig of Barrington, Ill.; two grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Ernest Kroll and Mrs. Clarence Hempke, both of Wis. Rapids, Mrs. Emil Krueger of Pittsville, Mrs. Elmer Walters of Chicago, and Mrs. Theodore Schauer of Port Edwards; four brothers, Adam Lipka Jr. of Marshfield; Emil Lipka of Beloit, Carl Lipka of Prairie du Sac, and Donald Lipka of Port Edwards; and her father, Adam Lipka Sr. of Port Edwards. A daughter, Adeline, died in 1921, and her mother preceded her in death seven years ago.

She was a member of the Ladies Aid Society of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

At the funeral service a quartet composed of Mrs. George Hoff, Mrs. Amelia Neitsch, Mrs. Fred Pudlas and Mrs. Alfred Thompson sang, Some Day We’ll Understand, and Asleep In Jesus. Members of the Ladies aid sang, God Be With Your Till We Meet Again. Mrs. M.C. Goetsch played the accompaniment.
