Ida Estella West Barlow, daughter of Lydia and James West, was born in the state of New York, April 12, 1857. While quite young she moved with her parents to Battle Creek, Mich., where she attended school and graduated from high school.

She was united in marriage to George Barlow on Sept. 10, 1885. To this union there were born two children, a son who died in infancy and a daughter Elsie who preceded her in death Sept. 26, 1936. Mr. Barlow passed away Sept. 25, 1923.

For the last eight years, Mrs. Barlow has made her home with her grandson, Stacy Simon, at Spring Green. For the last ten months she has been an invalid and passed away Wednesday, April 23, 1941, at the age of 84 years and 11 days.

While living where she could, she was a faithful member of the Battle Creek First Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in that city.

She leaves to mourn her departure six grandchildren, Stacy Simon of Spring Green, Mrs. Connie Weiler, Mrs. Wistaria Lynch and Burton Simon of Milwaukee, and George Simon of Madison and Allie Simon of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. There are also six great-grandchildren.

The last rites were held in the Spring Green Congregational Church and were conducted by the pastor, Robert F. Merritt. The body was carried to its last resting place in the Spring Green Cemetery by Stacy Simon, George, Simon, Allie Simon, Art Clement, Henry Correll and Charles Weiler Friday afternoon, April 25.
