Pecher, Geraldine (Marriage - 2 Oct. 1948)

Miss Geraldine Pecher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pecher of Colby, and Sylvester Kulas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kulas of Athens, exchanged marriage vows in an 8:00 o’clock mass performed Saturday morning by Rev. Raymond Schultz of Wuertzburg in St. John’s the Baptist Catholic church.

The bride wore a royal blue crepe dress, accented with a corsage of white roses and pompons, and a single-strand pearl necklace, her gift from the bridegroom. The pearl earrings she wore provided the traditional "something old," her blue dress, "something new and something blue," and the watch of the bridegroom’s sister, Miss Christina Kulas, who was her maid of honor, loaned for the occasion provided the traditional "something borrowed." Miss Kulas was attired in a gray crepe dress. The bridesmaid, Miss Vivian Kreft of Athens, was dressed in Viking blue. Both carried lace edged handkerchiefs, which were the gifts from the bride, and her shoulder bouquets of pink roses and white pompons.

Lester Dassow of Medford, and Theodore Kulas, brother of the bridegroom, served as his attendants.

Guests from Medford, Athens and Colby attended the wedding. The couple are now on a trip to Michigan and Milwaukee, and upon their return will reside with the bridegroom’s parents.
