Kunze, Catherine (22 Jan. 1891 - 3 Sept. 1948)

Mrs. Joseph Kunze died Friday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at her home in the town of Hull at the age of 57 years after suffering a heart attack. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning in St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby, Wis., Rev. N. B. Beschta officiating, and burial was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Pall bearers were John Ohlinger, Alphonse Schraufnagel, Cletus Schraugnagel, Carl Apfelbeck, Leo Apfelbeck, A. J. Schmidt. Flowers were in charge of Virginia Voelkin, Betty Berg, Virginia Treankler, Mary Ann Schmidt, Germaine Schmidt, and Helen Apfelbeck.

Mrs. Kunze, the former Catherine Meyer, was born on January 22, 1891, at Glidden. She was married to Joseph Kunze on September 5th, 1922, and moved onto a farm in the town of Hull where she lived until her death.

Survivors are her widower; her mother; two daughters, Mrs. Daniel Anglish of Detroit, Mich., and Miss Stella Kunze of the town of Hull; four sons, Raymond and Gilbert Kunze of the town of Hull, Bernard Kunze, serving in the army in Europe, and Lawrence Kunze of Point Arend, Calif., three sisters, Mrs. Albert Conrad, Mrs. Theo. Patitz and Mrs. George Peacy, all of Glidden; five brothers, William Meyer of Glidden, Rev. Carl Meyer of Glidden, George Meyer of Pontiac, Mich., Joseph Meyer of Berlin and John Meyer of Detroit, Mich.

Out of town people here for the funeral were Mrs. George Meyer and John Meyer of Pontiac, Mich.; Mrs. Joseph Meyer, Wm. Meyer, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Patitz and son, James, Mrs. James Eder and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schraufnagel of Glidden. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Conrad of Butternut, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Johnson of Mellen, Mr. and Mrs. George Peary of Ashland, Rev. Carl Meyer of Gadich City, Kansas, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Meyer of Berlin, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Carl Kunze and son, Sylvester, of Cloquet, Minn., Andrew and Elizabeth Theul of Stanley, Mrs. Wenzel Klug of Boyd, Mr. and Mrs. Wenzel Prucker and son, Ewald, and Misses Lorraine and Lanore Prucker of Chippewa Falls, Mrs. Tena Sarasen of Cloquet, Minn., Lawrence Kunze of Point Arena, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Angelish of Detroit, Mich.
