Opelt, Kaye Suzanne (Marriage - 12 June 1982)

In Saturday afternoon, June 12, nuptials, Kaye Suzanne Opelt, daughter of Donald and Sue Opelt, Rt. 1, Greenwood, and Brian Eugene Ewoldt, son of Donald and Frances Ewoldt, Rt.3, Greenwood, were united in marriage. The Rev. Charles Sanford officiated at the Greenwood Park ceremonies.

Special music for the service was provided by Virginia Ewoldt who offered a cello solo.

Attending the honored couple were maid of honor Ann Gregorich, a friend of the bride from Marshfield; Julie Opelt, the bride’s sister of Greenwood; best man Warren Ewoldt, a cousin from Dixon, Iowa; and Wally Ewoldt, also a cousin from Dixon.

The bride chose a two-piece, hand-knit dress designed by herself. She carried a bouquet of white spider mums, stephanotis, pink roses and baby’s breath and wore a matching head wreath. Her attendants wore light blue, flower print gowns with ruffled necklines and skirts and carried bouquets of blue spider mums, stephanotis and baby’s breath.

Following the service, a reception was held at the Greenwood American Legion Hall. The couple then left on a northern wedding trip.

Loyal will be the home for the new couple.

The bride is a 1978 graduate of Greenwood High School and in 1980 from District I Technical Institute; she is employed by Wausau Insurance Company of Wausau.

Her husband is a 1978 graduate of the same high school and in 1979 from the Eau Claire Technical school; he is employed by Lindner Construction.
