Creed, Lula (23 Mar. 1883 - 23 Oct. 1952)

Mrs. William N. Creed, a life-time resident of the Unity, Wisconsin area, died last Thursday at 8:00 P.M. at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital at the age of 69 years. She suffered a stroke on October 20th and was admitted to the hospital the following day. Funeral services were held at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby Monday afternoon, Rev. Claude Vander Stoep officiating, and internment was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery.

Mrs. Creed, nee Lula Pettit, was born in Unity on March 23, 1883. Her marriage to William N. Creed took place on November 4, 1904, at Chippewa Falls. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge.

Surviving are her husband; a son, Nyole, who is postmaster at Unity; five daughters, Mrs. Lester (Evetta) Cendt of Casper, Wyo., Mrs. George (Lela) Korntved of Clinton, Iowa, Mrs. George (Virginia) Stauner of Wausau, Mrs. Charles (Ramona) Derby of Marshfield and Mrs. Charles (Necia) Kubat of Wisconsin Rapids, and a brother, Marshall Pettit of Hanison, Idaho. A twin sister, Mrs. Lela Stinson, died in 1947.

Mr. Creed is widely known for his many years of service on the Clark County Agriculture Committee and as a former president of the Clark County Fair Association. Mrs. Creed has always been highly respected for her many good qualities, always endeavoring to look out for the welfare of her family, and being of a congenial disposition, had many friends in Unity, Wis.
