Herman, Joseph (1875 - 7 MAY 1941)

Funeral services were held at 10:00 o’clock on Saturday, May 10th at S.S. Peter & Paul Church for Joseph Herman who passed away May 7th, 1941, at St. Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield at 1:25 a.m. after three months illness of liver trouble, Rev. W. Kolman officiated.

The deceased was born in 1875 at Farnow, Neb. He was married to Julia Wojcik on May 13, 1900 at St. Hedwig’s Church, Thorp, Eight children were born to this union, who with the widow, three brothers, four sisters and six grandchildren survived; four sons, Louis, Waukesha; Thomas, John, Milwaukee; Anton, Frank and Rudolph, Gilman; two daughters, Mrs. Joe Fellenz, and Mrs. Ed Mack of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Mr. Herman resided near Thorp for several years after marriage and about twenty-five years ago moved on a farm near Gilman, being a resident of the village of Gilman at the time of his death.

Interment was made in Meadowbrook Cemetery. Those acting as pallbearers were: Mike Strzok, Joe Wisniewski, Mike Krakowiecki, Frank Wilcenski, Chas. Zaborowski and Bernard Slota.
