Hubbard, Beyrl (17 MAY 1941)

A very pretty wedding took place at St. Mary’s Church, Stanley, on Saturday, May 17, 1941, when Mr. Marce Wagener of Stanley and Miss Beryl Hubbard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bert W. Hubbard of the Town of Worden (Clark Co., Wis.), were joined in the holy bonds of matrimony. The ceremony was performed by Rev. F. Wallace at nine o’clock.

The bride was beautifully attired in a gown of white chiffon over satin, trimmed with lace. She wore a finger tip veil with matching lace and carried a mixed bouquet of roses and sweet peas of various colors.

John Wagener acted as best man and Miss Marie Kademan was bridesmaid, she being dressed in blue taffeta. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Boie also attended the couple, Mrs. Boie wearing a peach chiffon over satin gown.

The groom wore a dark blue suit.

After the nuptials a reception was held for the couple at the home of the bride’s parents, attended by relatives and friends, and a wedding dance was given at the American Legion Hall in Thorp in the evening and music was furnished by the Melody Makers.

The newly married couple will reside on a farm near Stanley. Their many friends join in extending best wishes.

Out of town guests attending were: Ed Catt, Mrs. Edna Wilson of Durand; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Vanderweyst and son LaVurne of Unity; Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Kademan of Curtiss; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wagener and daughter of Milwaukee; Mrs. Laura Bercholz and Mrs. Harry Erdman of Milwaukee, John Wagener of Menominee and Mr. and Mrs. Vince Wagener of Stanley.
