I never heard of the fact that German prisoners of war lived in Loyal and worked at the Loyal Canning factory. This is very iinteresting. I was born in 1945 and never heard my parents talk about this. Hard to fathom since so many males in the area had fought the Germans. Did this really happen and where did the prisoners live in Loyal? It says "an empty lot"????
