Spiering, Gerhardt (1899 - Feb. 1954)

Funeral services for Gerhardt A. Spiering, age 54, 905 A. Jackson Street, Manitowoc, whose death was reported last week, were held at the Pfeffer Funeral Home in Manitowoc, Rev. L. H. Koeninger officiating, and burial was made in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mr. Spiering was born in New London in 1899 and in 1921 married Miss Violeta Frome of Colby, Wis. Thirty years ago, they moved to Manitowoc. In recent years he was employed as a Linotype operator at the Colar Craft Printers, Inc. Before moving to Manitowoc, he worked as a printer in the Colby Phonograph office. He was stricken with a heart attack three days previous to his death.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Robert, of Manitowoc; four sisters, Mrs. Tess Berhardt, Mrs. Oscar Bubek and Miss Hilda Spiering of Milwaukee and Mrs. Oscar Falkenhainer of Des Moines, Iowa.
