Schultz, Mable (Marriage - 28 May 1955)

Miss Mable Schultz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert H. Schultz of Spencer, Wisconsin, Route 1, and Hugo Mielke of Colby, Route 1, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Witzke of Edgar, exchanged marriage vows Saturday afternoon, May 28, in St. John’s Lutheran church of Spencer, Rev. August Saremba officiating. Organist for the double-ring ceremony was Mrs. August Saremba who also joined Mrs. Ernest Krause in a duet, "Bless Our Vows." Mrs. Krause also sang "O Perfect Love."

Carrying the same kind of flowers with the same style dress only in blue was the bridesmaid, Miss Eunice Schultz of Spencer, a sister of the bride. Elroy Luepke of Spencer was the groomsman. The ushers were Ernest Krause of Spencer and Carl Mielke, brother-in-law of the bride and brothere of the groom, respectively.

Baskets of mixed spring flowers were carried by the two little flower girls, Sandra and Barbara Schultz of Wisconsin Rapids, nieces of the bride, who donned white taffeta and net frocks.

A floor-length gown of nylon tulle over bridal satin was worn by the bride. Hand clipped lace cascaded from the bodice down the bouffant skirt and was repeated on the bodice, sleeves, and Peter Pan collar. Fastened to the tiara of seed pearls and bugle beads was the finger-tip veil of sheer imported illusion net with hand-rolled edge. The bridal bouquet consisted of yellow roses and white gladiolas.

Corsages of white carnations and red rosebuds were secured for both the bride’s mother, who wore black, and the groom’s mother, who was at the nuptials in turquoise.

The reception was held at the bride’s home and the 4:30 p.m. supper was served to approximately 200 guests in the church parlors. Wedding guests came from Spencer, Unity, Colby, Edgar, Wisconsin Rapids, Marshfield, Laona, Milwaukee, Pittsville, Granton, Reedsburg, Stratford, Wausau, and Chicago and River Forest, Ill.

Mrs. Mielke, a graduate of Unity High School, who was employed in the office of the Central Cheese Co. in Marshfield before her marriage, and her husband will live on the groom’s farm on route 1, Colby, Wis.
