Baumgarten, Hazel Augusta (Marriage - 15 Oct. 1955)

Miss Hazel Augusta Baumgarten, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Baumgarten, and William Mueller exchanged marriage vows in Zion Lutheran church in Colby Saturday afternoon, Oct. 15, at 2:00 P.M., Rev. O. Hoffmann officiating at the services. The couple was attended by Mrs. Clifford L. Rosinski, the bride’s niece, and Walter Mueller of Athens, the groom’s brother. Ushers were Howard Rannow and Arnold Rannow of Colby and Clifford Rosinski of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mrs. Howard Rannow served as organist and soloist and played the traditional wedding marches. She sang "The Lord’s Prayer" and "O, Perfect Love."

The bride was attired in a silk mohair suit of charcoal and pink mixture with pleated detail on pockets and shoulders, straight skirt and gun-metal accessories. She wore a sequined hat. Her corsage consisted of white orchids and stephanotis. Her matron of honor wore a light blue suit with bronze accessories and her corsage consisted of multi-colored roses.

A reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Rannow, brother-in-law and sister of the bride. Theme in fall colors were home decorations and the buffet table was centered with a wedding cake. Mrs. Arnold Rannow poured at the reception and Mrs. Pearl Vorland cut the wedding cake. Assisting at the reception and dinner were Mrs. Harlowe Hibbard and Mrs. Lloyd Smith. In the evening, a wedding dance was held at the Kolby Park.

Out of town people here for the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Baumgarten and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Boettcher of Hutchinson, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Alex Baumgarten of Requal Lakes, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Baumgarten of Alevia, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Ray Stutzman, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Knapp, Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Rosinski, Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Rosinski, Miss Rose Mary Rosinski and Mr. and Mrs. William Weller of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Ray McDonald of Eau Claire, Mr. and Mrs. John Mayer and Miss Mabel Meyer of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Art Heglund of Ashland, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd J. Vienneau of Washburn, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Beisner of Dorchester, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Tyznik and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Nelson of Abbotsford, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hedler of Thorp, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Leisinger of Unity, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Mueller of Athens and Mrs. Mary Albrecht of Hector, Minn.
