Ketterl, Paul (18 Nov. 1941 - 22 Mar. 1955)

Paul Ketterl, age 13, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Ketterl of Marshfield, Wisconsin, died at the Markus residence in Colby Tuesday morning at 10:45 o’clock. The body will lie in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby until Friday and funeral services will be held at Zion Lutheran church in Colby Friday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, Rev. O. Hoffmann officiating, and burial will be made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery.

Paul was born on November 18, 1941, in Marshfield. He was an invalid since 18 months of age.

Surviving are his parents, a sister, Carole Lou, age 11, and his grand mother, Mrs. Andrew Ketterl, of Butternut.

Mrs. Ketterl teaches the second grade in Colby and stays with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Markus, during school days. Mr. Ketterl is an instructor at Senior High, Marshfield.

Funeral services for Paul Ketterl, whose death was chronicled last week, were held at Zion Lutheran church in Colby last Friday afternoon, Rev. O. Hoffmann officiating, and internment was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Pall bearers were John Tesmer, David Schmitt, Kenneth Barr, Dennis Kademan, Dean Loos and DuWayne Wibben, all fifth grade boys of the Colby Graded School. Flower girls were Rita Dins, Connie Wiersig, Shirley Bowen, Linda Zrutskie, Judy Grauman and Carol Jean Beightol, relatives and friends. Jean Tesmer, accompanied by her mother, Mrs. Woodrow Tesmer, sang "In The Hour of Trial" and "What a Friend We Have in Jesus."

Out of town people here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Russell Knapp, August Keller, Frank Rademacher, Rev. T. Bradtke, Mr. and Mrs. Art Tessmer, Mrs. Lawrence Tessmer, Phyllis Strohman, Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Krueger and daughter, Audrey, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Schwantes and Miss Elsie Schultz, all of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. August Strauss of Kaukauna, Mrs. Andrew Ketterl, Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Ketterl, Jr., and daughter, Karen, of Butternut, Mr. and Mrs. Len Gruber and son, Jimmie, and Mrs. Steve Weis, of Park Falls and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Schauer and children of Spencer.
