Recheleu, Martin Theodore (24 July 1864 - 1 July 1931)

Martin Theodore Recheleu was born at Black River Falls, Wisconsin on July 24, 1864.

He came with his parents to Greenwood when a small boy, growing to manhood on a farm one mile east of the city.

On September 19, 1891, he was united in marriage to Ida Steele of Thorp. To this union were born two daughters, who, together with an adopted daughter, survive him. They are Mrs. Walter Acker of Greenwood, Mrs. Arno Vater of Withee, and Mrs. Felix Adams of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

His home for the last few years has been in Abbotsford, Wis. He died at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital at noon July 1st following an operation.

Besides his wife he leaves to mourn his departure one sister, Mrs. Mary Nixon of Seattle, Wash., two brothers, Chas. of Tacoma, Wash., and Chris of Owen, and four grand-children besides a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral was held Friday, July 3rd, at 2:30 from the funeral home at Marshfield, Rev. W. P. Powell of Owen, officiating, with burial at Greenwood cemetery.
