I have a wooden sign advertising Vilas Bros. Paint. It has the name of one of our very early hardware stores shown as the seller of the paint. I am taking steps to establish the approximate age of the sign before turning it over to our county museum for display with other artifacts from the hardware store. It would be helpful to know the span of time when the Vilas Bros. Paint Co. was in business. It would also be most helpful if there are records available to determine when our hardware store owner J. H. Sawbridge did business with Vila Bros Paint. I live in Negaunee, MI where J. H. Sawbridge Hardware store was located. I'll continue my search on this end but will be most grateful for any help offered.
