Weber, Helen (22 AUG 1942)

Mr. Joseph Burzynski of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and Miss Helen Weber of Chicago, were married Saturday morning, Aug. 22, 1942, at 9:00 o’clock. The ceremony was performed by Rev. S.R. Lengowski, in St. Hedwig’s Church in Thorp.

The bride wore a very fine lace dress with a long train and veil with a blusher. The veil was held by a tiara of orange blossoms. Her bouquet was of white roses, swansonias and baby’s breath. She wore a cross, a gift of the groom, around her neck.

Lillian Burzynski, the bride’s sister-in-law, attended her. She was attired in a gown of rose taffeta with a blusher to match.

Best man, usher and groom wore tuxedos and white boutonnieres.

Other attending couples were Mr. Aloysius Navarre and Ruth Burzynski, cousin and sister of the groom. She was attired in a rose pink taffeta gown under marquisette; second couple, Melvin Millus with Frances Burzynski, friend and cousin of the bride and groom. She was also attired in a blue taffeta gown under silk marquisette.

Their bouquets consisted of pink and blue roses and carnations.

The reception was held at the home of the bride and groom, where many friends and relatives gathered.

A wedding dance was given in the evening at the American Legion Hall.

After a wedding trip to Chicago, the newlyweds will live on the groom’s farm in the town of Worden, Thorp, Wis.
