SSgt. Glenzer Is German Prisoner Of War

Staff Sgt. Ronald F. Glenzer, 28, of Curtiss, who has been reported missing in action since November 13, in France, is a war prisoner in Germany, according to the post card received from him recently, by his mother, Mrs. Emma Glenzer, Curtiss.

Sgt. Glenzer asked his mother not to write to him as he would be moved within a few days. The card was written December 1. He added that he was in good health. The camp where he was held is near Frankfort, Germany, This was the only word received by his mother that he was a prisoner.

The Curtiss soldier, who was in the 95th Infantry (Victory) Division was inducted into the Army in Milwaukee in July, 1942. He was sent to Ft. Sheridan, Ill., and later received training at Camp Swift and Ft. Sam Houston, Texas, Camp Polk, La., the desert training center in California, Indiantown, Gap, Pa., and in Virginia.

St. Glenzer had been awarded the expert infantryman’s badge and a sharpshooter’s medal.
