Friske, Florence #3 (20 JUN 1942)

The Trinity Lutheran Church at Loyal, beautifully decorated with fragrant summer flowers of peonies, roses and orange blossoms was the scene of a lovely wedding in which Miss Florence Friske and Hershel Edwards exchanged matrimonial vows in the late afternoon on Saturday, June 20, 1942. The Rev. J.C. Langholz of Loyal, read the ceremony.

The bride, the daughter of Mrs. Otto Friske of Rochester, Minn., wore a gown of white mousseline de soie trimmed with lace and a long veil, also a finger tip veil edged in lace with a headdress of seeded pearls. She wore a necklace of seed pearls, a gift of the groom, and carried a shower bouquet of talisman roses and baby breath.

Her sister, Mrs. Milton Sebastian, attended as matron of honor and a sister of the groom, Mrs. Henry Molle was a bridesmaid. They wore gowns of blue and pink ninon trimmed with pink and blue shoulder veils and headdress respectively.

Milton Sebastian was best man and Henry Molle attended as groomsman.

Immediately following the ceremony a dinner was served to 50 relatives and friends in the church parlors. Later a reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Friske.

The bride ahs been employed the past nine years as bookkeeper at the John Wuethrich Creamery at Greenwood. The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Edwards of Owen (Clark Co.) is employed as a salesman in Stevens Point, where they will make their home after enjoying a wedding trip to Illinois where they plan on visiting with relatives and friends before returning on June 29.

Catlin of Wis. Rapids; Miss Eunice Catlin of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Friske and son, Fredric of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Thurrow and sons, John and William, William Dreeves of Wilson; Rev. and Mrs. J.C. Langholz and daughter, Eunice, and Mr. and Mrs. George Jensen of Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Friske and son, Bernard, Mr. and Mrs. John Wuethrich, Mr. and Mrs. W. Wells, Mr. and Mrs. A. Well and sons, Donald and Ronald, of Greenwood.
