Hebert, Virgil L. (14 OCT 1922 - 16 FEB 2008)

Virgil L. "Toddy" Hebert, 85, Spencer, Wisconsin, died on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, at the Colonial Center, Colby, Wis. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Feb. 19, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer. The Rev. Karl Rose officiated. Burial was in West Spencer Cemetery.

Virgil L. Hebert was born on Oct. 14, 1922, in the town of Unity, to Lloyd and Julia (nee Johnson) Hebert. He married Shirley Wry on May 15, 1948, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Marshfield. He worked at Land O’ Lakes in maintenance. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley, Spencer; his daughter, Karen Yonker, Marshfield; his son, Dennis (Elaine) Hebert, Loyal; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and five sisters, Ruby Neumann, Spencer, Arlene (Ralph) Will, Colby, Betty (Ray) Boehning, Las Vegas, Nev., Virgean Zahn, Spencer, and Lois (Richard) Oestreich, Spencer.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and three brothers.

A memorial will be determined at a later date by the family.
