Vine, Frieda E.(13 JUN 1913 - 8 FEB 2008)

Frieda E. Vine, 94, Milton, died on Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, at Mercy Hospital. Janesville. A funeral service was held at 2:30 p.m., on Monday, Feb. 11, at the Church of Christ, Janesville. The Rev. Jon Grice officiated. Interment was in Milton Lawns Memorial Park.

Frieda E. Price was born on Friday, June 13, 1913, in Unity, to August and Erna (nee Schenk) Price. She married Hugh D. Vine on Aug. 30, 1933, in Unity, and lived most of their married life in Janesville. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Janesville, since 1957, Dorcus Circle, and the Faithful Friends Class.

Survivors include six children, Shirley(Chuck) Thiel, Janesville, Bob (Rose) Vine, Janesville, Jeanette (Mark) Campbell, Edgerton, Sandra (Roger) Manecke, Janesville, Judy (Bruce) Martin, Gales Ferry, Conn., and Donna (David) Steele, Kokomo, Ind.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Verena (Warren) Thomas, Birchwood, and Grace (Harold) Papenfuss, Loyal; sister-in-law, Anne Price; nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; her granddaughter, Victoria Besaw; and four siblings, Ernest Price, Edward Price, Laura Kovatch, and Hilda Vine.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice Care, Inc.

Schneider Apfel Schneider & Schneider Funeral Home, Janesville, assisted the family with arrangements.
