Nosbisch, Alvera M. (Marriage - 16 Sept. 1950)

Miss Alvera M. Nosbisch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Nosbisch, and Arnold A. Gottschalk, son of Mrs. Adel Gottschalk, exchanged marriage vows at a nuptial mass celebrated Saturday morning at St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby, Wis., Rev. N. B. Beschta officiating. The bride was given in marriage by her father. The altars of the church were decorated with baskets of vari-colored gladioli and the aisle was white-carpeted.

The bridal gown was fashioned of white satin and styled with a lace yoke coming to a point at the waistline. Peter Pan collar, long sleeves coming to points over the wrists, and full train. Attached to a bonnet of net was a lace-edged three-quarter length veil. Red roses and white gladioli formed the bridal bouquet.

Apple green satin gowns were worn by all the attendants, Miss Myrtle Gottschalk of Kennilworth, Ill., the groom’s sister, as maid of honor, and Miss Lucille Gottschalk of Milwaukee, and Miss Dorothy Gosse of Milwaukee, his cousin, as bridesmaids.

The attendants’ gowns were styled similarly to that of the bride with the exception of short sleeves. Matching crowns and gauntlets completed their ensembles and all three girls carried bouquets of yellow gladioli.

Marlene Mae Reigel of Milwaukee, niece of the bride as flower girl, was attired identically to that of the bride and carried a basket of mixed garden flowers.

Vincent Nosbisch of Marshfield, brother of the bride,
