Meyer, Vivian (Marriage - 25 Nov. 1950)

Miss Vivian Meyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Meyer of Owen, and Eldor Hanson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Hanson of Colby, Wisconsin were united in marriage Saturday, Nov. 25th, at 4:00 P.M. at Zion Lutheran church in Colby, Wis., Rev. O. Hoffmann reading the marriage ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Hanson, brother and sister-in-law of the groom, were the couple’s attendants. Woodrow Tesmer, accompanied by Mrs. Tesmer, sang "Because." Miss Patsy Reeves was the organist.

The bride was attired in a white wool-flannel suit with brown accessories. Her bouquet consisted of yellow roses. Her attendant wore a yellow suit with dark green accessories and her bouquet consisted of red roses. The bride’s mother wore an aqua dress with black accessories with a corsage of pink and white carnations. The groom’s mother wore a grey suit with black accessories, and her corsage consisted of pink and white carnations.

A dinner was served at the church parlors and a reception was held at the home of the bride.

After a wedding trip to Southern Wisconsin, Iowa and Nebraska, the couple will be at home after Dec. 1st at the Welcome cheese factory where the groom is employed as cheesemaker.

Out of town people present were Mr. and Mrs. James Dozier of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Chartrow and sons of Crandon, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Hill and sons of Thurston, Neb., Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Meyer and family and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Kennedy of Mellen, Mr. and Mrs. John Stettler and James Dorst of Colby, Miss Arves Radtke and Miss Donna Van Dreel of Eau Claire.
